Have You Opted In Yet?

First National Bank of Chester County is pleased to offer you convenient services and features that add value to your checking account. Recently, the Federal Government has made changes to the Electric Funds Transfer Regulation (Regulation E) that will affect your checking account and the level of service we can automatically provide to you beginning August 15, 2010.

Your action is required otherwise your checking account features may no longer be the same.

The new regulation requires us to obtain your approval or "opt in" before we consider payment of your ATM withdrawals and debit card purchases that may create an overdraft in your checking account. Through our overdraft protection program, Bounce Protection, we currently provide this service to pay ATM and everyday debit card purchase overdrafts for you. The majority of our customers prefer having this service to pay an ATM withdrawal or debit card purchase to avoid the embarrassment of having their purchase denied at the grocery store checkout line, at the pharmacy when paying for a prescription, or at a restaurant when paying the bill.

Should you have multiple checking accounts with First National, you must complete an "opt-in" form for each of those checking accounts.

Please remember that your prompt action is required so your service level is not disrupted and there is no cost to you for this service unless you use it.
